Welcome to auranym.me!
hello and welcome to my new home on the web, auranym.me!
this site has been in the works for a few months, so I’m super excited to finally make it more visible to the public! not that it has been hidden or anything, I’ve had this site accessible the whole time. ;)
anyways, I wanted to talk a little bit about what this site is and why I made it. essentially, it’s a place for me to call my home on the internet. there’s a lot of change happening online, and various social media sites fall in and out of general favor. it’s a lot of headache to keep track of it all, especially since I’m trying to use social media less than I used to. because of this, I decided that it was finally time to make a site of my own!
so, what is there to expect from this site?
well that’s the neat part, I can’t say for sure! I know that there’s a couple things that will stay the same though.
- an about page where anyone can learn generally who I am
- a projects page dedicated to highlighting some of my work
- a blog where I can post my thoughts whenever I have any to share, instead of posting to twitter/bluesky/tumblr
apart from these core pages, though, the sky’s the limit! I work with the web professionally, so I’m fluent in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. meaning, if I have something I want to add, I can add it pretty easily.
that’s another reason this site exists actually. I wanted an ongoing project that I can tune in and out of without feeling much obligation. if I want to do a small project, I can think of something to add or improve on this site without much fuss. this should help stave off any burnout that keeps trying to seep its way in. so I hope that having a relaxing project like a website will help. …and this site has definitely been a relaxing project for me!
