about me
my name is avery, or aves for short, but you probably know me by my username auranym! my pronouns are they/them, or she/her if you prefer.
I'm a front-end web developer professionally, but I have plenty of hobbies that I like to work on when I have free time. I wanted to create this website to share what projects I'm working on all in one place, and also to have a place to yap whenever I get chatty. basically, this is my little corner of the web where I can share what's going on in my life!
my interests
I'm someone who can find an interest in just about anything, so I have just so many hobbies. here are my bigger interests!
- game dev—in particular making 2d platformers and games with strict color palettes and pixel-grid adherance.
- pixel art—I focus mostly on plants as subject matter and enjoy using smaller, cooler color palettes.
- music production—mostly as a supplement to my games.
- web dev—especially with as few external packages as possible.
- cooking—my favorite things to cook are beans, vegetables, soups, and sauces!
this is by no means a complete list. I also dabble in writing, poetry, gardening, hiking, dungeons and dragons, and more! the above items are just the things you're most likely to see on my website. :)
